Bridging Public Safety and Behavioral Expertise

About Beacon Behavioral Training

Beacon Behavioral Training was built to address a critical gap in modern public safety training: the ability to accurately interpret human behavior under pressure.

Our leadership brings together a combination of experience that is exceptionally rare in this space. Real world federal law enforcement experience, advanced use of force instruction, and active clinical expertise in human behavior, autism, and neurodivergence.

Beacon was founded by the owners of an Applied Behavior Analysis medical practice serving neurodivergent individuals and families every day. Through that work, our team operates directly within the autism and neurodivergent community, supporting individuals with communication deficits, behavioral escalation, sensory sensitivities, trauma responses, and other complex behavioral presentations across both children and adults.

At the same time, our leadership includes prior federal law enforcement experience with the United States Courts and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Our team includes a former federal agent and certified use of force and firearms instructor trained through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center with extensive experience in defensive tactics, scenario based instruction, and non lethal training ammunition exercises designed to improve decision making under stress. This includes hundreds of hours of operational and scenario based training delivered to federal, state, and local law enforcement officers focused on force decisions, behavioral interpretation, and real world encounters.

It also includes a former Special Agent who is now a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and clinical expert in autism, neurodivergence, communication, behavioral escalation, and human behavior.

The woman has long, wavy brown hair and is wearing a black blazer with a white top, while the man has short dark hair, a neatly trimmed beard, and is wearing a navy suit with a striped shirt and tie.

That combination changes how we approach training.

We understand how officers are trained to interpret behavior in the field. We also understand, at a clinical level, what those behaviors actually mean when an autistic individual avoids eye contact, when sensory overload presents as aggression, when delayed processing appears as noncompliance, or when a trauma response is mistaken for resistance or threat.

Because when behavior is misread, escalation follows.

Beacon Behavioral Training was created to improve decision making during those moments.

Our training focuses on recognition, interpretation, communication, and tactical adjustment during real encounters. We teach officers, supervisors, and command staff how behavior presents under stress, what is driving it, and how to adapt response in real time to reduce unnecessary escalation and improve outcomes.

This is not awareness based instruction.

This is operational training built for field conditions, high pressure decisions, and the realities of modern public safety.
